WBT Holiday on Ice is back for the 2013 holiday season! This winter wonderland is in the coolest place in the city: an outdoor ice skating rink in the heart of Uptown. It's a holiday tradition for us to continue with you, your friends, and family. The skating rink located at the corner of MLK Blvd and Brevard on the NASCAR Hall of Fame Plaza.

Saturday, December 7
2013 ACC FanFest

Acclaimed national recording artists Rodney Atkins and Sara Evans will headline the 2013 ACC FanFest presented by AT&T, game officials announced. ACC FanFest, which is free and open to the public, takes place Saturday, December 7th, from noon to 7:00 p.m., prior to kickoff of the Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship. The headliners will appear live on the Dr Pepper Stage, with Evans playing at 3:30 p.m. and Atkins performing at 5:30 p.m.

12th Annual Belk Bowl / FanFest

The Belk Bowl will be played on Saturday, December 28th at 3:30p.m. and televised nationally on ESPN. The game features a matchup of the Atlantic Coast Conference and the American Athletic Conference (former Big East) and is played at Bank of America Stadium. Multi-Grammy nominee and CMA Entertainer of the Year Blake Shelton will be the featured act at the 2013 Belk Bowl FanFest. It is free to the public and will begin at 11:00 a.m., with Shelton scheduled to begin his performance at 1:30 p.m.

First Night Charlotte is an alcohol-free, innovative and diverse celebration of the New Year in Uptown Charlotte. This event focuses on visual and performing arts through a shared cultural experience, accessible and affordable to all. The day’s activities kick off with First Night KIDS at 12pm, followed in the evening with a 2-hour live airing on WBTV. Charlotte’s favorite 11-piece band Sol Fusion will take the stage at 10p.m. in Romare Bearden Park to count down to the New Year!
