Sales and Traffic DepartmentAccount Executive (Full-Time) Job Responsibilities: Charlotte's NBC affiliate, NBC6, a Belo subsidiary, has an immediate opening for a motivated, dedicated, professional sales person. You must be able to provide a valid, current driver's license and we will complete a DMV check and insurance verification. Experience Requirements: A minimum of 1 year media sales experience is preferred; excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Communications/Creative Service DepartmentGraphic Artist (Hours to be determined) Job Responsibilities: This is an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of mediums, including on-air news and print. We utilize the best equipment in the industry, including Quantel Paintbox Bravo and MacIntosh graphics. Experience Requirements: Proven experience on a paint system would be a benefit. News graphics experience is a major plus. Experience in animation preferred (After Effects, Adobe Premiere). Macintosh platform and the following programs: PageMaker, Illustrator, & PhotoShop are required. News DepartmentNews Reporter (Full-Time) Job Responsibilities: News reporters develop story ideas; establish contacts in the field conceptualizing their stories, write and report live on-air. Excellent live skills are a must. If you are the most aggressive reporter in your market, the one who leaves the competitors in the dust, then we're looking for you. Experience Requirements: Three years' experience as a reporter at a commercial station. Valid driver's license and complete a DMV check. Educational Requirements: College degree from a four year accredited institution is strongly preferred. Associate Producer (Full-Time) Job Responsibilities: Coordinate all production materials for assigned newscasts, research and write stories, make beat calls, run a teleprompter, and produce shows as needed. Experience Requirements: We prefer experience in writing for TV news, TV production and a basic understanding of how a news room operates. WCNC, a Belo subsidiary, is an equal opportunity employer.
