Free music this weekend

Thursday:

The New Relics play at the Subaru River Jam at the U.S. National Whitewater Center at 7PM.

ZOSO, a Led Zeppelin tribute band, will be at Alive After Five at the EpiCentre.

Boardwalk Billy's at University Place features live music, with no cover, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights at 10PM. This weekend you can hear Patrick McKenna, Strange Country, and Hipshack.

Friday:

If you're more into punk rock, there's an all-ages, free show at 2PM at Lunchbox Records.

Got the blues? Blues Out Back behind the Gaston Museum might help. Drink Small performs at 6:30PM.

At 7:30PM, the Charlotte Folk Society has its monthly gathering and jam.

Friday night and Saturday during the day, there will be plenty of free music at the Charlotte Irish Summer Festival.

Saturday:

Listen to some bluegrass music at a free concert at Cornelius Presbyterian Church at 11:30AM. Rust Knox performs.

Rick Spreitzer performs in Pura Vida Worldly Art's Gypsy Lounge at 5PM.

Kids in the Charlotte School of Rock are putting on a Woodstock tribute concert at Symphony Park from 1PM to 8PM.

Sunday:

Pack a picnic and head to Davidson's Concert on the Green for a big band concert at 6PM.

There are also free concerts that are occurring every summer weekend in Stonecrest, Blakeney, the U.S. National Whitewater Center, and Ayrsley. Find them all on the Charlotte on the Cheap events calendar.
