Happy Friday Folks!

We know it is tax season when we start seeing those dancing Statue of Liberty guys from Liberty Tax, gyrating on the side of the street.  (I actually really like waving and honking at them… they bring me a bit of joy during my drive into work.)

So thanks to Jody Mace, my friend who runs the blog Charlotte on the Cheap, here’s a way you can get FREE tax prep and free e-filing if you make $49,000 or less each year.

This service is available at the main branch of the Charlotte library on Saturdays through March 12. The sessions are from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. You don’t need an appointment, just walk in.

Keep in mind; if you’re doing a joint return, you both need to be there.  Jody also says bring a photo ID, your Social Security Card, W-2 and 1099 forms, plus your Federal and State tax refunds and other information you can learn about if you click here.

Okay, and now the fun stuff!

Here’s how to get a free candle at Bath and Body Works for Facebook fans.

The company says on their Facebook page: Our Gift to YOU: This weekend only — we're giving all of our Facebook Fans a FREE GIFT — a NEW 1.6 oz Candle Preview! Download the coupon now to try our NEW Escape Home Fragrance Collection. No purchase necessary. While supplies last.

Lastly, a deal we’ve seen before but it is back: two free issues of Family Circle-- courtesy of Valu Mags and the discounted dining site Restaurant.com

Sometimes a free magazine offer will ask you for your credit card, and charge you if you don’t cancel within a certain time period, but this one is NOT like that.  Just enter your name and address and bada-bing, you’ve got yourself two free issues, no strings attached.

Okay, time to get ready for the 4pm show.

See you on TV at 4pm, 5:30pm and 11pm
