DURHAM, N.C. -- When juniors and seniors return to North Carolina Central University this month, more than 500 of them will also be getting fancy new accommodations.

The Herald-Sun of Durham reported the school is ready to unveil a $30 million, four-story residence hall called Chidley North.

The new dormitory boasts lounges on every wing, a laundry room and kitchen on every floor and a luxury most college students can only dream of: one bathroom per room.

Residential life director Jennifer Wilder says housing space has been so tight in recent years that juniors and seniors haven't been able to live on campus until now.

The new residence hall should be ready when students return to campus Aug. 18.
