CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- An auditorium full of students at Charlotte Country Day School listened carefully last week as a speaker from the non-profit Rachel’s Challenge shared a powerful message about the life of Rachel Scott.
She died in the Columbine shooting but before she did she wrote about being kind and helping others. The message is one that can sometimes bring students to tears.
NBC Charlotte spoke to students after the message about the impact they hope the program will have in their school.
Seniors Carley Tucker and Royce Turnbull say they hope the message sparks powerful change inside and outside the walls of Charlotte Country Day.
