RALEIGH, N.C. -- A glam rocker from North Carolina has been making a big mark on NBC's "The Voice."

Kat Robichaud was born in Concord and grew up in Hickory. She lives in Raleigh now, but she's in LA for the time being, competing as a member of CeeLo Green's team. Before she left for Hollywood, NBC Charlotte sat down with her in her Raleigh apartment to get the behind-the-scenes scoop.

She says despite the competition, "Oh, everybody is friends with each other on the show. We love each other. Team Adam, Christina and Blake ... we’re friends with everybody. We want to work with each other when this is all said and done."

She says even the coaches are the real deal, though she's still getting used to hanging out with megastars like Blake Shelton.

"He was just coming back from getting tea and he was like, ‘Oh hey, little sister.’ And I was like uhhhh...!"

You can catch Kat's live performance Tuesday night at 9 on “The Voice” on NBC Charlotte.
