CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- To call Mark McCollum's game day headquarters a man cave is like calling Time Warner Cable Arena a gym. With 1,800 square feet of party space it is more like man cavern!

“I have always wanted a sports bar and that was kind of my idea when we built the house,” said Mark McCollum. “The basement was pretty much wide open for that.”

There’s a pool table, air hockey and a buffet that won’t quit.  But this, however, is a house divided.  Panthers on one side and on the other—Falcons.

“I have been a Falcons fan since I was 5 years old,” smiled McCollum.

The walls are complete with jerseys of Panthers from yesteryear and autographed photos from Panthers of today.

Some of the décor is not exactly sports bar-esque.

“Well, you got to have a kid’s corner to keep them occupied so they stay out of our hair,” he added.

Also included—a bed.

“We party into the night.  You might want to hang out and sleep it off,” McCollum noted.

Almost every space on the wall is covered except for one space.

“That is where the Falcons banners go when they win the Super Bowl.”

On this day games and races were second to McCollum’s dog Zippy and his hatred of NASCAR driver Kevin Michael Harvick.

The food and drinks are always top notch, but the company is always a winner.
