MOORESVILLE, N.C. -- It’s a multi-million dollar home in Mooresville, on Lake Norman that looks like it sits on an island.

There’s water on three sides of the nearly 10,000-square-foot mansion.  The home is for sale and Lance Carlyle from Carlyle Properties gave NBC Charlotte an exclusive look inside, starting with the kitchen and living area.

"It’s a place you can cook, live.  You have these awesome views from every single angle.  You can see the sunrise, you can see the sunset," said Carlyle.

The home offers panoramic views from pretty much every room in the house including the master bedroom.

"Again, focusing on the view, so you're lying in bed -- water, water, water” he added.

No wonder this Carolina mansion is featured in the fall issue of 'Luxury Home Magazine.'

"It's huge.  It's grand.  A lot of lake views,” said Solar Hing, Publisher for Luxury Home Magazine.

Just outside the media room located upstairs is a beautiful outdoor area.

“One thing that's really neat about it is it leads out to the covered porch.  There are 3,000-square-feet of covered porches in this house so you can enjoy living inside and outside," said Carlyle.

When you step outside you see exactly what he’s talking about.

“This is what they love, to just come out and enjoy this,” he said.  "When you're out here, you really notice the privacy.  Great views all the way around.”

Carlyle added, “This is where he lands his helicopter."  Yes, there’s room for a helicopter -- and a boat, too.

"One really nice thing about the dock is that it's off to the side so it doesn't obstruct your view in any way,” said Carlyle.

While the views are captivating, the home itself is eye-catching in so many ways.

"They designed the house specifically for the lot,” said Carlyle.

"It's one of those amazing properties.  It's definitely unique in its own right,” said Hing.
