Larry's Look - Woman shares her love for the play 'Grease'

Larry's Look - 'Grease' play

HICKORY, N.C. -- Our special guest in-studio guest on Larry's Look this morning was Carol Culver. She has an amazing career on Broadway and in movies as a dancer, singer, actress, and choreographer.

She was in the very first national touring company of "Grease" and then went on to Broadway as the assistant choreographer as well a cast member for four years. Culver was one of only six of the stage cast to actually have a role in the movie "Grease". In the awarding movie, Culver was also the assistant choreographer.

Carol worked with John Travolta, Olivia Newton-John, and the other stars---and was a principal dancer in the film. She talked about that experience, as well her other roles in films like "Pennies from Heaven", "Best Little Whorehouse in Texas", and "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band".

She's actually in the area to direct and choreograph the Carolina Broadway Theatre Company's production of "Grease". It's Hickory, North Carolina's first professional theatre company, with the show opening July 25th at the Salt Bock Auditorium in downtown Hickory.
