SAN ANTONIO --  CVS pharmacy customers in San Antonio, Texas, who purchase nail polish remover will soon be asked to present a photo ID before making the sale.

The new policy is meant to curb the making of methamphetamine.  Acetone is a common ingredient in nail polish remover and is used in the process to make meth.

Signs displayed at CVS pharmacy locations will explain the new policy.   The store will also limit the number of bottles that can be purchased at one time.

The new system will let CVS flag suspicious purchases and is expected to roll out at all locations across the country.
