SEASIDE, Ore. – A couple was arrested after they allegedly tipped a Seaside waitress with an envelope full of meth last week.

After Ryan Bensen, 40, of Beaverton and Erica Manley, 37, of Cascade Locks allegedly paid for their drinks at the Twisted Fish in Seaside, they tipped their waitress with an envelope filled with a crystal-like substance, as first reported by The Daily Astorian.

The waitress called Seaside police after receiving the tip and police identified the substance as methamphetamine.

Police said they also found a large amount of meth in Manley’s purse. An additional search turned up items used for making and distributing the drug in the couple’s motel room and vehicle.

Bensen was arrested for possession and manufacture of methamphetamine. Manley was arrested for possessing, manufacturing and delivering meth.

The couple was taken to the Clatsop County Jail.
