CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Viewer tips helped police arrest one of Charlotte's most wanted, and police caught him – but then all the charges against Laquail Wallace were dropped.
Now he faces all new charges.
He’s not in jail – instead, he’s at home wearing an electronic monitoring bracelet, charged with possession of stolen goods.
VCAT – the Violent Criminal Apprehension Team – was charged with finding Wallace after he was accused in a violent home invasion where a woman was blindfolded and robbed while her 6-year-old slept.
But the District Attorney dropped those charges saying there wasn’t enough evidence to make the case.
