TAYLORSVILLE, N.C. -- The Alexander County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man and woman for allegedly stealing money from a coin machine at a car wash.
Deputies charged Michael James Lester and his wife, Brandie Rae Lester, with breaking and entering and larceny of coin operating machine.
The robbery took place at the Speedy Car Wash on Buffet Boulevard near Highway 16 South in Taylorsville, according to the police report.
Deputies said James and Brandie Lester were also charged with four other break-ins that occurred in October 2011 and on January 28.
Both were placed under a secure bond and have a court date for later this month.
