CONCORD, N.C. -- Bruton Smith has dropped his lawsuit against the city of Concord and Cabarrus County.
Smith, the president of Speedway Motorsports, was suing for $80 million that he said he was owed for keeping Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord.
Smith's attorney said the lawsuit was dropped without prejudice, meaning it could be re-filed.
The attorney said Smith is currently in negotiation with both municipalities, hoping to settle the matter out of court.
