CHARLOTTE, N.C. --Saturday morning dozens hit the links for a special golf tournament to help area youth.

The tournament was at the Ballantyne golf club and benefitted the organization, "100 black men of Charlotte".

The event on Saturday gave young men an opportunity to network with their mentors.

“It gives them an opportunity to see what can be done out here on the golf course. It gives them the opportunity to say hey “I can be county manager; I think I can be a teacher. So it gives them interaction with people doing those types of things,” said Herb Gray an organizer of the event.

The money raised from Saturday’s tournament benefits the group's youth mentoring program.
