GASTONIA, N.C. -- Gaston County police searched Hunter Huss High School Friday morning after the school received an anonymous tip about a threat.
The school is located at 1518 Edgefield Avenue in Gastonia.
The tip came in at 8 a.m. Officials say the tip was about a possible assault involving a knife.
A metal detector was brought in and all students were searched at the start off the school day, according to the school district.
Officers did not find a knife, but one student was caught with a BB gun.
Schools officials say they called families about the situation.
The search was finished before 10:30 a.m. and school is back to normal.
No arrests have been made.
