CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A store clerk was shot and killed Saturday afternoon at the Business Center, which is an Internet sweepstakes cafe, located along the 2700 block of Tuckaseegee Road.
Police say a man entered the business shortly after 1 p.m. and demanded money.
Police say the clerk, identified as 46-year-old Jamal Salih, got into an altercation with the man and was shot. He was transported to Carolinas Medical Center where he died.
The robber was described as a black man, about 6 feet tall. He was wearing a black cloth over his face during the robbery. The man was last seen fleeing the area on foot.
