Firefighters take down two separate Charlotte structure fires

Firefighters responded to a call of an apartment fire Saturday afternoon.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte Fire is investigating a structure fire that took place in south Charlotte Saturday afternoon.

Firefighters responded to a call in the 4100 block of Conway Ave a little before 3:30 p.m. Charlotte Fire says they were able to control the fire in 23 minutes but the fire caused about $25,000 in damages. The American Red Cross is assisting one family.

No one was hurt in the fire.

Firefighters responded to a separate fire a little after 3:30 p.m. in the 4300 block of Ashley Circle. Charlotte Fire later determined the fire was intentionally set and a juvenile suspect admitted responsibility.

Officials did not release the juvenile's identity.

Medic said no one was hurt from the Ashley Circle fire.
