CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg investigators are still trying to unravel the mystery of a body found in a Dumpster in southwest Charlotte.
Three people are under arrest, but they are not charged with the murder. Isidro Bueno, Yadira Fernandez and Juan Rivera-Amaya are accused of hiding the body of the man, but not killing him.
The body was found in the Dumpster of the Windgate Apartments off Nations Ford Road.
"I sent my coordinators out there on the first day this came to light and spoke to the residents to make sure they didn't have further concerns," said Sgt. Pam Lisenby of the Steele Creek Division.
Lisenby says that robberies are typically the biggest problem in the area.
Bueno is also facing some prostitution charges that are no surprise to one neighbor, who did not want to be identified.
"All people coming over there for sex, and pay the guy $30 for sex," said the neighbor.
But Lisenby said no one at the complex had complained to police about prostitution.
"We've checked all the way to May and not had any reports of that in that location at all," Lisenby said.
Police are not saying if the allegations about prostitution and the unsolved murder are connected.
"He's changing the ladies every week, bringing a lady -- she's coming from different countries," the neighbor said.
Police have not released the name of the victim. Officers say they have had some difficulty identifying him. While officers have not said what his relationship is to the suspects, they do say this was not a random act.
