Concert held along Rail Trail

Runners and cyclist along Charlotte's Rail Trail got a little treat today - music and dancing near a light rail station!

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Runners and cyclists in the Queen City were treated to music and dancing along Charlotte’s Rail Trail on Saturday.

The Jolly Lollies had their first concert for kids at a new performance space near the New Bern station.

The railside venue called “Rail Trail Symphony” was built with a KaBoom! Grant called the “Play everywhere Challenge," which challenges applicant cities to create places where people can play outdoors.

The concert was the new site's first official performance event. Three more are scheduled for summer 2017.
