CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte Rescue Mission turned its basement into “fine dining” for its annual Easter breakfast and lunch celebration.
The mission serves mostly homeless men and women.. but today invited anyone who wanted to come and eat to sit down with them.
Meals are served on fine china with silverware and stemmed goblets, at tables set with white linens and flowers. The idea is to make anyone joining the feast feel like someone special.
“I want folks to walk out of here saying, ‘Wow that was special. I AM loved. They love me.’ And I want them to know God loves them. We want them to know God’s love is so real, you can touch it," says Charlotte Rescue Mission's Tony Marciano.
Anyone stopping by could also watch movies, or use free cell phones to call family.
