CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Daniel Stowe is lit up, once again, for the Christmas holiday season with Holidays at the Garden.
In its 12th year, the garden features 600,000 lights, colorful displays, and activities each and every day of the week, with a few new additions.
“This year, we added a lot more color particularly around the canal area,” said Executive Director Patrick Larkin. “We wanted to brighten it up a little bit and give people just this ‘wow’ experience as they came out and saw something different.”
Visitors can expect different activities each night of the week. Story time with Mrs. Claus, train rides, horse and carriage rides, and even hot cocoa. Ticket prices vary, depending on the day. Buy them online for a discount.
“It’s really just a fun experience to get out and see everyone’s favorite sorts of things like the orchid tree coming back every single year,” Larkin said. “We’ve got three different trains out here, but really just to spend time together and build those memories.”
Holidays at the Garden runs through December 31st.
