RALEIGH, N.C. -- A company that makes parts for aging military aircraft
will open a plant near Kinston and create 50 jobs over the next three
years.
Workhorse Aviation Manufacturing LLC will invest more than a $2 mi
llion in the project at the Global TransPark. Governor Mike Easley says
a $100,000 grant funded by taxpayers helped secure the deal.
Company president Melanie McTaggart says North Carolina was chosen
for its reasonable cost of living, financial incentives and its military
bases.
