The Inspiration

More than half a million children live in the 28-county region surrounding Charlotte, yet the region lacks an acute care facility dedicated solely to the needs of children and their families. Over the next 10 years, an additional 95,000 children will be born into or move to our area. It's time they have a place of their own close to home - we call that place Levine Children's Hospital.

Projected to open in 2007, this $85 million dollar Children's Hospital will be located on the Carolinas Medical Center campus with multiple connections to the existing hospital.
