CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg police charged two teens in connection to a murder earlier this week.
Police charged 18-year-old Jonah Terrell Bryant and 18-year-old Christopher Edward Diggs with murder, two counts of armed robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit armed robbery in the death of Miguel Garcia Sanchez.
Sanchez and his friend were sitting in their vehicle on West Sugar Creek Road when they were approached by Bryant and Diggs and tried to rob them. During the course of the attempted robbery, Sanchez was shot and eventually died at Carolinas Medical Center.
Bryant and Diggs were interviewed by detectives at police headquarters. They were then transferred to the custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office.
