CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said a mother and her two children were not injured after their SUV flipped on Caldwell Street Friday afternoon.
The accident happened around 12 p.m. on North Caldwell Street near East Trade Street. A car collided with the SUV causing it to flip, according to police.
Emergency crews briefly blocked part of Caldwell Street to clear the accident. The street was reopened an hour later.
An officer on scene told NBC Charlotte the car seats the two children were in saved their lives.
Both children and their mother walked away from the crash.
