CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A multi-vehicle wreck shut down a portion of Interstate 85 in south Charlotte on Monday afternoon.
The wreck took place near the intersection of Billy Graham Parkway around 2:30 p.m. By 4:20 p.m., two of four lanes were still blocked before the scene was completely cleared just after 5 p.m.
A flatbed truck was tipped on its side and leaked fuel, according to the Charlotte Fire Department. The cargo was fertilizer.
One person was injured and transported to a nearby hospital.
