CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A distracted driver hit a Charlotte-Mecklenburg police cruiser near uptown Wednesday night.
The incident happened after the driver ran at red light on E. Fourth Street, near uptown Wednesday night.
After the car ran the red light, it hit the police cruiser and then flipped on its side. Two people in the car were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Medic.
The police officer involved in the incident was not hurt.
No charges have been filed yet.
