CALDWELL COUNTY, N.C. – Emergency Management in Caldwell County shut down road ways after flooding on Sunday night.

Officials said Old John’s River Road is closed due to the bridge flooding.  Emergency management said the second bridge from the intersection with Highway 90 is closed due to the conditions.

Wilson Creek Road is partially closed after part of the road washed away, authorities closed the southbound lane just above the “Lady on the Rock”.

According to first responders, minor flooding is also being reported in the Wilson’s Creek and
John’s River areas.

Part of U.S. 321 in near Lenoir is closed after heavy rain Monday morning. Emergency crews are on the scene and blocked part of U.S. 321 before Blowing Rock.

No injuries have been reported.
