ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. -- Two men are behind bars following an investigation into a series of larcenies by the Rowan County Sheriff's Office.

Detectives say 20-year-old Keith Rattz, Jr. and 23-year-old Bryce Honeycutt are responsible for numerous vehicle thefts in the area of St. Peters Church Road, Gin Road and Zion Church Road in Rockwell over the last few weeks, as well as several camper break-ins near High Rock Lake in early January.

During a search of the suspects'' shared residence in the 600 block of St. Peters Church Road in Gold Hill, officers recovered a boat motor, a GPS unit and a stolen class ring.

Detectives were able to identify a stolen class ring and returned it to the owner and second ring recovered has not been identified.

Now, officials are working to reunite owners with other items they believe to have been stolen.

Rattz and Honeycutt each face 12 charges. Both were placed in jail under a $10,000 bond.

If anyone has information about the case or this property they are asked to contact the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office, Lt. Chad Moose (704) 216-8687 or Det. Teresa Haupt (704) 216-8702.
