GASTONIA, N.C. – A vending machine owner called authorities after his M&M's machine was found in a dumpster.
According to a Gastonia Police report, the victim contacted police after his coin operated M&M’s machine was robbed and thrown into a restaurant dumpster on South New Hope Road.
According to the report, the machine was damaged and the money inside was stolen.
Before the report of the vending machine was filed, a barber shop contacted authorities after their gum ball machine was stolen.
According to the report, the incident happened at Petey’s Barber Shop at 3826 New Hope Road. The victim told police someone broke out the window and then carried away gum ball machine.
In both cases the thieves caused an estimated $1,000 in damages.
No word yet on arrests.
