Popular outfitter H&M is making waves with its decision to use a plus-size model to front their newest ladies beachwear collection.

Not only is the self-proclaimed plus-size model the face of the swimsuit section, Jennie Runk is featured throughout the website's online catalog alongside all the brand's models.

Runk dons the bathing suits on the site's general swimwear section, not just the plus-size section.

Sweden-based H&M replaced the typical size 4 or 6 mannequins with size 12 mannequins in their retail stores in March, and in doing so, has taken heat from some critics.

The average woman in America wears between size 12 or 14.
