CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas!
The heavy rainfall that came at the beginning of the week moved away Monday, but colder temperatures took its place.
The numbers plummeted since this weekend’s mild highs. Tuesday is expected to top out at 47 degrees in the Charlotte area, and fall to the low 20s overnight. Wind chill readings in the teens will make for a cold ride for Santa through the Queen City.
It’ll be much less soggy Tuesday, as well, with mostly sunny skies throughout the day. It’s the same story for Christmas Day, but slightly chillier with a high in the low 40s.
The watches and warnings that came along with the rainfall have been cleared, as of Monday morning. At last check, some street closures were still in effect due to flooding.
