KENT, WA -- Police in Kent are searching for a man suspected of attacking and attempting to rape a barista early Tuesday morning.
The attack occurred at the Hottie Shots Espresso stand in the 21200 block of 84th Avenue S, according to Kent police.
Video captured by a surveillance camera inside the stand shows the suspect enter through the window and hold the barista at knifepoint. He forces her out through the same window and into a dark alleyway.
According to police, the man was “spooked by the vehicle headlights of a customer that pulled into the barista stand drive through” during the attempted sexual assault. He fled the area in what police believe was a dark sedan with black rims.
The suspect is described as a white male in his 30s, about 5’5” with dark hair and light facial hair. He is seen in the video wearing a gray hoodie and dark cap.
