Mostly sunny and comfortable today

Big warm-up by the end of the upcoming weekend

CHARLOTTE, N.C. —

Today

Wednesday comes with more clouds, gustier winds and a slight chance for some rain. Rain will struggle to hit the ground around the Charlotte area for most of the day but mid to late afternoon could come with a light rain shower. Highs in the lower to mid 70s under partly sunny skies.

Dry through the evening and overnight. Lows back to either side of 50°.

Thursday and Friday

Both days will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy and pleasant with highs in the mid 70s. Lows at night will be in the mid-50s. Rain chances look to take a break once again.

Weekend

Saturday begins the warm up. Highs return to the upper 70s under partly cloudy to partly sunny skies. Sunday will be in the lower 80s again under mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies.

Next Week Notes:

  • Highs return to the mid 80s most of the week.
  • Rain and thunderstorm potential on Tuesday and Tuesday evening.
  • Push to the upper 80s likely next Friday
  • Another chance for storms late week
  • Dew points on the rise meaning higher lows. And we are nearing that threshold when we start that humid feeling.

Pollen Report

Tree pollen is the main cause of high pollen levels for mid-April before these numbers eventually taper off by mid-late May.

No break in the pollen count until May
