Carolina Renaissance Festival
01:44 PM EST on Thursday, November 3, 2005
The annual Carolina Renaissance Festival has returned to Concord. Join the 6NEWS Road Trip Unmasked! Learn how to dress, how to speak and what to eat. You won't have access to the Road Trip Nov. 2 because the festival is only open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays.
What is the Renaissance Festival?
All the Festival is a stage at the eight annual Carolina Renaissance Festival. Hundreds of costumed participants re-create the atmosphere of a European Market Faire with royal shenanigans and amusing antics designed to entertain and engage you. The Festival's permanent multi-acre themed Village features music, comedy, hearty food and drink, fine hand-craft exhibits, games and rides for young and old, and the excitement of Knights in shining armor engaged in tournament jousting in the King's Equestrian Arena.
The festival runs through Nov. 13 and is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Adult tickets are $16, child tickets are $5.
Directions
The Carolina Renaissance Festival is located north of Charlotte between the towns of Concord and Davidson, between I-77 and I-85 on Highway 73 at Poplar Tent Road.
