KANNAPOLIS, N.C. -- Police are searching for a man who shot two people in the parking lot of an apartment complex Monday afternoon in Kannapolis.
Shannon and Derrick Miller were shot by Donald Brown after an argument at the Oak Crest apartments shortly after 3:30 p.m. Monday, according to Kannapolis police.
The Millers were taken to Carolinas Medical Center-Northeast.
A warrant has been issued for Brown, charging him with two counts of attempted murder.
Police say Brown fled the scene in Shannon Miller's car, which is a silver two-door Chevrolet Cavalier with North Carolina license plate ZNT-7847. The car has plastic covering a back window, which is broken.
Police say Brown has family in Concord and Salisbury.
