CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- At least nine people had to be taken to local hospitals after a van crashed into a guardrail west of uptown on Sunday evening.
All of the people involved had nonlife-threatening injuries, according to a spokeswoman for Medic.
The wreck happened just after 7 p.m. near where Freedom Drive intersects Toddville Road. That’s close to Interstate 85.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police were investigating the wreck, but had not released a cause late Sunday or said if anyone would face charges.
