2 dogs killed in east Charlotte apartment fire

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Firefighters are investigating the cause of an apartment fire that killed two dogs.

The fire happened at an apartment complex in the 5800 block of Monroe Road in southeast Charlotte.

All of the occupants got out of the home safely.  NewsChannel 36 cameras were there as firefighters removed a stove from the apartment where the fire broke out.

The Red Cross is helping the family who lived in the apartment.
