Arrest made after Caldwell Co. prescription medicine and jewelry heist

CALDWELL, N.C. – The Caldwell County Sheriff’s office charged two people in connection to a prescription medicine and jewelry heist.

According to detectives, the incident happened January 15 in the Cajah Mountain area of Caldwell County.  Authorities said several items of jewelry and prescription medication were stolen.

Investigators found the stolen jewelry at a “gold recovery” location.

Officials charged Jason Braswell and Jennifer Watson, both of Lenoir. 

Braswell is facing a slew of charges including possession and intent to sell. Watson is charged with obtaining property by false pretense.

Braswell was placed under a $20,000 bond, while Watson was given a written promise to appear.
