CHARLOTTE, N.C.-- Charlotte police are conducting a death investigation at the Mecklenburg County Health Department on Beatties Ford Road.
Police were called there just after 11 a.m. Monday.
Investigators say someone went to the health department for services. Employees later found that person in an employee work area going through someone's belongings.
Security took the person into custody, but the person struggled with them, eventually ending with security guards pinning the person to the ground.
Investigators say there are no signs of trauma or any visible injuries.
Medic was called to the scene but when they arrived they found the person unresponsive.
Police have not released an identity yet on the man who died.
They continue to investigate the incident.
