CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A memorial service is planned in honor of a Charlotte teenager who was shot to death outside his home two weeks ago.
Kydaryune “K.C.” Curry, 17, was murdered September 16 after a dispute over respect. He was killed after a drive-by shooting on Northgate Trail Drive off Reedy Creek Road. Police have charged five teens in connection to his death.
“Mothers of Murdered Offspring” will sponsor the service.
The candlelight vigil will be held Monday in the parking lot of Charlotte United Christian Academy on Wallace Road where K.C. attended school.
Students, teachers and parents will be in attendance. The vigil begins at 7:30 p.m.
