Commissioner Neil Cooksey laid to rest

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Mecklenburg County Commissioner Neil Cooksey was laid to rest on Saturday at Carmel Presbyterian in Charlotte.
He died Wednesday after a battle with pancreatic cancer.
Cooksey still served Mecklenburg County's District-5 even though he had been in hospice care since June.
He was 51.
