CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- An unusual call to police after a deer somehow busted into an empty building in east Charlotte.

The incident happened near the 10000 block of East Independence Boulevard Saturday afternoon.

Animal control says the deer smashed through a window and went frolicking around the building.  Cameras were rolling as officers worked to free the animal.

Although the animal broke his antler, the story has a happy ending. Officers say the deer will be okay.
