ROCK HILL, S.C. -- Saturday a church will show support for an 11 year old who was brutally attacked by a pit bull in his neighbor's yard.
Kenny Allen was walking to his neighbor's home to borrow a kitchen utensil when his neighbor's dog Dallas ran at him from behind a bush.
The 60-pound dog tore into the child's hand, arm, and ripped the skin from Kenny's scalp. Kenny was airlifted to the hospital and is still there this morning. In support of Kenny the Faith Family Christian Center is holding a weekend long fundraiser to help with some of Kenny's medical expenses.
After worship service Saturday the church will continue to hold a fundraiser to help with the mounting medical bills.
"It's one way we can show the love of Jesus", said Reverend Craig Ray, Pastor of Faith Family Christian Center. Ray added that sometime after morning worship service Kenny's father will leave the hospital and meet with church members where they will all shave their heads.
"This will show Kenny that he's not alone," said Reverend Ray.
