GASTON COUNTY, N.C. -- A competition in Gaston County will raise money for the family of a young E. coli victim.

Gage Lefevers died from the illness after visiting the Cleveland County fair.

Shooters Express Gun Range in Belmont is inviting people to take part in a target shooting contest.
The entry fee is $20. All money raised will go to the Lefevers' family.

"It's for a good cause, I am a grandfather myself, with 3 grandkids, so it's real easy to equate to a situation like this how you would be feeling,” said Dean White of Shooters Express, “just anything that can be done to help, I am sure will be appreciated by the family," he continued.

Organizers say Gage Lefevers' father is a Gaston County Police Officer.  The competition runs through November 24th.

A fundraiser was held Saturday in Cleveland County to benefit another E. coli victim.

Lily Rhoads is the daughter of a Gardner Webb University assistant swim coach.  Student athletes held a cornhole tournament in her honor.
