HICKORY, N.C. -- The Hickory Soup Kitchen is raising money for those in need throughout Catawba County.
They held their annual spaghetti dinner fundraiser Saturday afternoon. Guests paid for a ticket to eat and could leave donations.
Soup Kitchen staff says it has become a popular event over years and know it means a lot to those who benefit from the fundraiser.

“It’s hard to imagine how important it is. We see a lot of them over and over and over, and we know they need a lot,” said Jim Pendleton of the Hickory Soup Kitchen.
Last year, the soup kitchen fed about 70,000.
