MECKLENBURG COUNTY, N.C. -- Homeowners in Charlotte's Steele Creek neighborhood are expected to turn up in big numbers at Monday's City Council meeting.

They're fighting a re-zoning request that would bring more homes to the area.  Crescent Resources wants to re-zone nearly 320 acres along Shopton Road West near Lake Wyle.

The new subdivision, Chapel Cove at Glengate, would eventually bring more than 550 new homes to the area.

Neighbors are concerned more homes would mean more run off into Lake Wylie's coves.
