IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. -- An Iredell County woman is afraid for her life after she says her ex-boyfriend and three of his friends broke into the home she shares, and beat, robbed, and pistol-whipped her and several other people.
Megan Goodman was at the mobile home on Log Cabin Road with friends around 10 p.m. Friday when four men broke in.
Goodman said the men, one of whom she used to date, had at least one gun, several knives, and a baseball bat.
There were about 10 people at the home at the time and Goodman and her friend Donna Knight said the men threatened everyone for about 20 minutes until they could come up with money.
Goodman and Knight said the men stole several hundred dollars.
Meanwhile, another man who was in a back bedroom heard the commotion and jumped out a window to call for help. Chris Jackson said police arrived just as the men were leaving.
Iredell County deputies set up roadblocks and searched late Friday night for the men with K-9's and helicopters.
Goodman and Knight said they believe one of them was arrested.
The Iredell County Sheriff's Office couldn't confirm the arrests Saturday evening, but none of the three men Goodman named were in jail Saturday night.
NewsChannel 36 is not naming the men because they have not been arrested or charged.
Goodman and Knight said the men threatened to come back and kill them if they called police.
